About Joanna
Joanna DeHart, a Charlotte native, began her photography career during High School. After working with Phil Aull, one of Charlotte's master photographers for ten years, she set off on her own, to open a studio in San Francisco, where she worked for eight years photographing portraits and weddings in the Bay area. In 1991, Joanna returned to Charlotte and resumed her work with Phil Aull. Ten years and many awards later, she opened her own studio in Mint Hill. Joanna and her husband Marty, an avid photographer as well, worked independently, and as a husband-wife team combining their unique styles and personalities, to provide clients with a wide variety of photography. Together they offer studio and location portraiture, families, children, weddings, bridal, daycare, sports, restoration and architectural photography. Both are highly active in professional memberships such as Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the Professional Photographers of North Carolina, which insures that they continue their education in the ever-changing art of photography.
